Faith Baptist Church of Posen was organized in 1958 by a small group of faithful believers unhappy with their current Church situation. Services began in a garage lent to the Church by the Rogers family, and they soon called a Pastor, Rev. Fred Bartz.
At that time, we were joined to the American Baptist Convention, but are presently an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church.
Faith Baptist Church was soon able to purchase a small “Cape Cod” style house on the corner of 149th Street & Kedzie Avenue. Several additions were added to the building, and it is still used by the Church for Sunday School and office space. 
Some wonderful men of God pastored here over its 50 year history. They include:
 Rev. Fred Bartz – Deceased
 Rev. Al Anger – Missionary
 Rev. F.D. Sanders – Retired
 Dr. Tom Schulte – Evangelist
 Dr. Jim Delashmit – Deceased
 Dr. Bill Stedman – Current Pastor
In 1975, a new building was constructed on the site and serves as our auditorium. Land was later purchased across the street to the south which gives us ample parking. 

~We are an old-fashioned, King James Bible-Believing Baptist Church.

~We believe that Soul-Winning is the best way to build a Church. We continue to run buses throughout our neighborhoods to bring boys and girls, men and women to Christ.

~Faith Baptist Church is a wonderful reflection of the neighborhoods and people to which it ministers. We offer a very healthy balance of diverse people making it a great place to grow and to raise a family in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Bill Stedman was called as our Pastor in 1986 and currently serves with Associate Pastor, Brian Bussey.
